Thank you for choosing a Heart of Faerie Valentine's Day reading with me.

There are five positions in this reading and an underpinning card. The underpinning card tells of the supporting energy for the reading and is the card on the bottom of the deck when all cards have been drawn. Where there are two cards listed under a heading this is as they have fallen out or where further information is required to make sense of the first card out.

THE PAST:

The Rox is a King and he is used to having someone run around after him. In fact, he is rather too busy to do much for himself. He can't pick up after himself, clean his own mess or look after himself. It's not that he doesn't want to rather he just physically can't.

The person represented by this card may also have a “poor me” or “I am not well enough” attitude. There is no wish to move forward and, in honesty, no way to do so. At the time of the relationship there was an imbalance where you were strong and they leant on that strength. Following from there the leaning became complaining when you were unable to support them in their weariness. Sadly this meant the relationship had to go so you could move forward.

Supporting this card is the Blessing. Every relationship brings gifts even where none are immediately apparent. The gift in your past relationship is the ability to know you are strong enough to carry not only yourself but anyone who needs carrying. Beyond this is the gift of knowing when to let the other carry themselves. Your own inner “neediness” was exposed to the light throughout the relationship and you were able to set that part of you free. Now you are capable of knowing when you need support and asking for that support.

THE PRESENT:

 

The Queen of the Day brings grace, blessing and light your way. You are seeing clearly all you desire to come to you and making room in your life to allow the incoming joy. Drawing the Juggler had me drawing other cards to explain the situation. When it finally came I understood the question had been asked incorrectly and Faeries are very particular about how you ask the question. So the Juggler is you in the future, Wendy, doing many things well and moving forward and trying to always do more as well. In this way you are constantly moving, never standing still and unable to stop because the wheels may well stop spinning and then...

Stand still for just a few moments and find the state of grace. When you feel the rush forward, the desire to keep going when you know you need to stop just stand still and breathe. As you do you will begin to see the magic around you, you will notice the beauty on offer and you will get a sense of the relationship being brought to you. Stop running too fast for love to catch you up.

The Child was the supporting card drawn in the first instance. Innocence and wonder, always following the light with joy and openness. The light of love shines brightly and you look at it with wonder. There is no question in your heart, you open your heart and step into the relationship with joy. Like a child with trust in your heart.

The Star Faerie I drew to shed light on the future relationship rather than on you in the future *smile*. The energy of the relationship coming to you is one of connection. The Star Faerie is about Universal connection, remembering the star energy connects us all. Your relationship will be deeply connected, a true meeting of the souls through united understanding and love. Yes, there will be differences and lack of understanding but you will find it easy to communicate with this new partner because of the strength of your connection.

The Speaker of Truth is the card drawn here. In aligning the card to you I see a woman who is able to see beyond the illusion of outer appearances to the deeper person within. Think of a butterfly leaving behind the chrysalis and you have the basic idea here. You have moved out of the old and are shedding the past to make way for the new. All you need is within you and those who guide you are only a thought away. Be sure to ask for directions should you feel unsure.

CARD 2: The underpinning card of the final shuffle

This card supports the Leaving in that the Maiden is your road map to love. Remember your first love with its joy and wonder, its tears and frustrations. As you remember your first love you will remember how fully in love you were, how all important that love was to you. Yes, you were innocent and full of trust, yes you loved passionately and completely. In the memory is the map for loving now.
