Yesterday (June 14th, 2011) I was made aware of a situation that was taking place between one of our customers and a Healer that we had listed on the site and we wanted to make all of you aware of it so that you don't run into the same situation.
A customer ordered healings from Velia. They could not afford to pay for the healings so Velia suggested she do the healings and then the customer could pay her in installments later. When she tried to stop the healings, Velia responded with comments such as "don't you believe in my healings" and "if you have doubts, nothing will work".
The customer finally told Velia that she wanted to stop and Velia demanded all of the money owed immediately (over $1,000.00). The customer told her that she could not afford to pay all at once and they agreed on a payment plan after many emails back and forth.
The customer did not notify Oralin about what was happening but she did write in to Misty for reading for some understanding on what had happened. Both Misty and I were very concerned about what was happening and we worked together to get to the bottom of things. The customer did not complain or mention Velia's name but we asked if the Healer was part of Oralin and was told yes.
Since Velia and I are the only ones doing healings on the site, I knew it was Velia and contacted her. After a few emails where I questioned her interactions with this customer, she admitted that she had been doing healings/readings but denied any of her pressuring tactics. These agreements had nothing to do with Oralin and were arranged between Velia and the customer. In fact, the payments were being made directly to Velia and did not go through Oralin at all. If a Reader that is listed in the left hand side nav bar of our site asks you to pay them directly instead of going through Oralin, understand that it is not our practice and you should question this action.
Veila did all of this WITHOUT PERMISSION from Oralin. We knew nothing about it until the customer wrote in for a reading. As a result of these actions, we have removed Velia from the site and we wanted you to be aware of her actions so that if you are dealing with her, you can make informed decisions.
Once we removed Velia from the site, she contacted the customer and demanded full payment (not the scheduled amount) and told her that if she did not pay she would have bad karma. These are actions that we would consider trying to scam the customer using fear. This is not true - the karma is on Velia's end and not the customers. Yes, there were lessons learned all over the place but hopefully all has been rectified.
The customer updated us to say that she had to block Velia's threatening emails and close her paypal account.
This conduct is unacceptable to Oralin. We do not condone this behaviour. While we do believe that Velia has Healing ability, we do NOT believe in pressuring people to get more readings or healings. We do NOT believe in using scare tactics to make people give more business.
Velia also admitted to doing the same thing for another customer of Oralin and we do not know if there are others who have felt pressured by her tactics but know that Oralin would never knowingly allow this type of behaviour from one of our Readers.
Both customer's that Velia did this to said their intuition told them something was wrong and to stop but did not trust themselves enough to follow that intuition. Your intuition is your Guides communicating with you so pay attention to it and let us know if you have concerns about the conduct of someone on the site.

I haven't been here for awhile, and have missed you Wendy and your great vibrational site! :) I read the first "warning email" about this healer, and I felt bad for the girl who got tricked into her scamming..Also to the woman who wrote "I won't be Bullied".
I just wanted to say that trusting your intuition is so good.I recall a while back after joining the site, while I was first looking in the left column at professionals who offered their services that when I saw Velia, for some reason, I got a "funny" feeling about her.
I know NOW that my intuition was SPOT ON! I have been on many websites, in search for real honest good sites, and this one in my opinion IS real, and honest.Even though this didn't affect me,I got my own affirmation(from my guide) when I got that funny feeling. By seeing Wendy's true pure honest profession acting on the problem asap in posting the problem the member,had with Velia to warn others of this type of scam.
Also,by posting her photo, along with her latest known website for all to see. I am glad to still be apart of this community. Thanks and keep up the great work!
