The word "Tools" is also "Stool".
We can stand upon a stool, we can climb upon a stool, we may sit and ponder upon a comfortable stool. We place things upon a pedestal (sounds like pedal stool). We can place our feet upon a stool for rest, to comfort and support.
Tools are just like this. They assist us. They can help us reach places we do not think we could go on our own. Some eye appealing tools, such as crystals, call to us to gaze upon them, just as we would sit upon a stool and go to that state of mind that allows us to relax and ponder.
We place such tools upon a pedestal in our minds. We honor them and give them our power. We then harness this power to reach places and/or do tasks that we may feel we cannot do without them. Yet, we can. Tools are simply that; items that assist us in doing. When you see that you do not need that tool to accomplish that which you desire spiritually, then you will see them for what they are.
You may be wondering how it is that you give your tools this power. Have you ever heard of the phrase “a doctor will never heal anyone who knows him”? Think about what this is saying. When you truly know someone, and you are comfortable around them, you don’t wonder about them so much, meaning you no longer assign them a lot of mystery. Yet, we do this easily with the unknown. The unknown can be very mystical; it can be past horrific or beyond beautiful and dynamic. We can’t imagine all that it can do or can’t do, because we don’t know it. Therefore we imagine possibilities; great or terrible, powers that it may possess, divine power, evil power, strength and vastness.
If we are sent to a great healer; we know he is a great healer, because we were told he was a great healer. We don’t know him, but we choose to believe it, because we want him to have that power so that he can heal us. Do you think we are far more likely to be cured of an illness by someone we assign no power too, or by someone we believe can do things we never imagined?
It is the same with tools. We want them to be mystical, we want them to be special, and we want them to be powerful and vast.
Yet, we are also afraid, what if they don’t work? What if they are flawed? What if they absorb negative energy? Then we decide only the stone or wand or talisman of the highest grade with no defects are powerful. And that stones and crystals must be recharged in some way to remove any negativity it may absorb, or even to restore their power that they can lose.
What if you were to discover none of that is true? What if you were to discover the most powerful wand, was a branch fallen from an old dead tree, or, a simple quartz rock you found in your pig pen was just as strong, if not stronger, as that perfect high grade crystal?
Think of it this way, think of yourself as one of the first human beings on this planet. You belong to a small tribe. You find a stick, it’s an interesting stick, a bit oddly shaped, but comfortable in your hand. You think this stick must hold some power because you see it as odd shaped, and you like that way it feels. Later on, as you are walking, you see a shiny stone reflecting up out of the dirt. You quickly dig it up and you think it must have special power, and that something out there, something divine sent it to you. You honor this stick and this rock and you use them in ceremonies, you feel great power emanating from them. Now lets fast forward to today's times. If someone saw a similar stick lying on the ground, would they see it as so powerful? And if they stumbled upon a similar quartz rock, would they honor it and think it as powerful as you had way back then?
We want to feel that there are items such as tools out there that hold so much power that we can utilize and control because we don’t believe in ourselves. We would rather give the power to someone else or something else and utilize it that way. We don't wish to see that if we did not believe in the tool that it would not work, and that if we do believe in the tool, we can work wonders with it.
This does not mean in any way not to use these items, the only purpose of knowing, is to know that all that you seek is within yourself. Knowing this empowers you, or rather shows you, reminds you even, of who you are and that your capabilities are endless.
Enjoy your tools, use them frequently, place them upon pedestals should you desire, but know that their true power, their true energy, comes from you; being of the one; being of the universe. Hold them, caress them, gaze upon them, utilize them to the fullest extent, and love them as you do yourself, for that is All they are.
I see you.
