Can you distinguish between the different types of thoughts that you have? Do you ever pay attention to the thoughts that go on in your mind? I mean, do you REALLY listen to yourself?
Let's take a look at the different types of mind chatter that you will usually experience...
There is the constant chatter of your mind trying to work out issues and problems. When there is something that you really need to work out, your mind will continuously speak to you as you try to sort things out. Many of those thoughts will be input from your Spirit Guides. Your Guides will drive you crazy bringing the issue into your mind until you resolve it. And if you can't resolve it, you will simply get very frustrated. These are the repetitive thoughts that simply don't go away.
If you find this happening to you then know that those thoughts will most likely continue until you do what you have to do. They will put thoughts in your head to lead you in the right direction or to help you come to the correct decision or end result.
Don't confuse working through a current issue or problem with feeling energies that are being built in Spirit. When the Guides are building in Spirit what is going to happen to you in physical, you may pick up that energy and think it is happening now. Those types of thoughts are usually quite intense and then disappear quite quickly. If the thoughts continue more that a month than it is probably an issue that needs to be resolved as opposed to feeling what is coming.
Sometimes Guides will involve you in a question and answer session. You will find that you ask yourself questions and then you go through the process of coming up with the answers. Many times, those questions are being posed to you by your Guides and are not you at all.
You will think that you are simply speaking to yourself but in reality, your Guides will be guiding you by asking those questions that will once again keep you on your path. The questions will often be something so unique that you will know that it didn't come from your own mind.
Another type of mind chatter occurs when you are not thinking about anything in particular and then you hear a thought or voice saying something in your mind and you KNOW it is not your own. You will realize that at that moment you were in a state of such inner peace without any thoughts going through your mind that when it happens, you understand that it could not possibly have been you talking to yourself.
Someone I know told me that they went to the doctor for a physical examination. The doctor was checking reflexes and just before he did the test on one of the reflex points, this person heard a voice say, "I'm not going to move". When the doctor tested the reflex, there was no movement.
What this person heard was a Spirit Guide saying what was about to happen. It showed that the reflex not moving was a planned event and it created a specific thought pattern for the doctor. The Spirit Guide obviously wanted this person to know that it was not that the reflex did not work but rather that is was being prevented from working to create a specific set of circumstances.
Pay attention to those thoughts, they are probably very important in terms of receiving guidance.
Most likely, you are speaking to your Spirit Guides over 80% of the time but you just don't realize it. As you develop your psychic abilities and raise your spiritual vibration, you will experience a strengthening in your ability to differentiate between you speaking to yourself and an entity speaking to you. You will learn to recognize the different energies that go along with each thought voice. Remember, you have several different Spirit Guides and Teachers and it could be any one of them speaking to you.
When I look back over the years, I realize how my mind was filled with chatter...guides speaking to me, arguing with myself, the same song playing in my head over and over and over again (to this day I can't stand the Theme from Friends), always questioning and trying to analyze everything!
I really noticed how busy my mind was after an experience I had at the office when I had a conversation with a couple of co-workers. We were trying to establish who we thought were the noisiest workers in our group. I was extremely surprised when they both said that I was the least noisy out of everyone. In my world, I was the noisiest one because there was always something going on in my mind. I felt like I was always talking to someone. I forgot that nobody could hear me speaking to myself and to my Guides.
Many of you won't realize just how much chatter you have going on in your mind until you start to experience the peace and silence. I never realized just how active my mind could be and how much spirit interaction was actually going on. Now, the times that I love most are the times where my mind is quiet...no voices...no chatter. Pure silence. It is a time to rejoice in because I know that all is well in my life and I am at peace with myself.
So spend the next while learning to really listen to yourself. You could learn some very interesting things.
