Telepathic Virgin No More!

My friend Rose was over for the evening and during the course of serving our dinner, she experienced her first very clear telepathic event. She heard my thoughts as if I was speaking to her. It was not a clairaudient voice that sounds like a thought in your head but rather one that actually sounds like the person is speaking to you.

When Spirit Guides speak to you, it is normally as a telepathic thought - you hear the voice but it sounds like a thought in your head. It takes practice and trust to be able to tell the difference between your own thoughts or the telepathic thought voices of your Guide.

When you have a typical telepathic experience, you hear the other person's thoughts as an actual voice - just like they were speaking to you and that is what Rose discovered during our meal preparation.

We were making Sloppy Joes for dinner. The meal was on the stove keeping warm and we were just about ready to dish it out. It was decided that we would put it on hot dog buns. Rose suggested that we should add something to the meat to make if more interesting. She asked if cheese would do the trick and I thought that was a great idea. She said we could put it on top of the mixture and let it melt.

Rose was grating the cheese onto a plate and as she was doing that I took out the buns and prepared them for the mixture. I thought that it might be a better idea to put the cheese at the bottom of the bun and the mixture on top so it would melt the cheese however, I decided not to say anything thinking that Rose has suggested putting it on top so she must want it that way.

She saw the look on my face and said, "What? You said we should put the cheese on the bottom and the meat on top so the cheese would melt." I raised my eyebrows and said, "I never said that out loud. I only thought it." She started to laugh and it took me a few minutes to convince her that I had not actually said the words. It was a very enlightening and humorous event.

I asked her if the voice sounded like it was distant. She said, "Yes, I was wondering why you were whispering." I laughed. That is exactly how a telepathic voice sounds…you hear it as a voice but it sounds distant. Sometimes it is fuzzy or hard to hear. During my lifetime, I have had the same type of experience (hearing people's thoughts and answering or responding to them to their confusion) and was familiar with the process.

When I was a teen, my mother and I were out in the backyard. She was working on the garden and I heard her call me. Of course, I ignored her (hey, I was a teenager). She called me several times and finally I went over to her and said, "WHAT?" She looked up at me and looked puzzled. I said, "You called me so what do you want." She replied, "I never called you. I was thinking it but I never called you."

Another time I remember sleeping over at my friend's house and just before we were leaving to go out, I heard my friend's mother call her. I said, "Karen, you mom is calling you…you better see what she wants before we go." She looked at me and said she hadn't heard anything. A few moments later, I told her that her mother just called her again and that she had better see what she wanted since her mother could be quite high strung. She decided to humour me and went to see her mother.

When she came back, she had a very strange look on her face. I asked her if her mother had called her. She that her mother had been thinking of calling her but had not actually said anything. When these events happened, there was no warning of it…it just happened. Over the years, I have had similar experiences with several friends and other relatives.

So when you are looking to experience something that will expand your awareness and open your mind to new things...when you least expect it, expect it.
