Walking a spiritual path that involves speaking to your Spirit Guides and receiving guidance can be a very lonely one. Quite often, you will be surrounded by family and friends who don't understand what you are doing, who are afraid of what you are doing and who don't want to hear about what you are doing. What's a thriving, enthusiastic knowledge seeker supposed to do? The answer is easy…find a buddy!
During my years of psychic development (over 20 of them and still counting) there were several years when knowledge and awareness was gained by walking the path quite alone. Some of your development time will have to be done on your own. It gives you time to establish your own belief system and to have the experiences that form your foundation for further development.
Development can be made more enjoyable and enlightening if you can find a buddy who is also interested in pursuing a spiritual path similar to your own. You can discuss your experiences and look for confirmation of things you have been told or shown. You can share ideas. You can help the other person see things from a different perspective. Your buddy can help you gain understanding. You will both progress with support from someone who cares and is interested in your experiences.
For the last 10 years I have buddied up with my friend Rose. Together, we have been through hell and back as we have traveled this journey. Some lessons are very, very challenging. For many years we would do message giving on a daily basis. This means we would sit down together and meditate and then relate messages given to us by our Guides. This would be done for several hours a day.
We learned a great deal through this process and as our lives changed dramatically over the years, we were able to use all the knowledge that we gained to help us get through the difficult times. Besides developing our psychic skills, we discovered what information Guides would give a person, what information Guides would not give a person, how messages are given and even managed to decode the Guides methods for teaching and interpretation.
We learned that when the Guides say something will happen soon, it normally means the event is so far off that if they told you the truth, you would have a heart attack so they disguise it by using a word that gives you hope and the determination to go on.
We learned that when we asked when something would happen, they gave the answer in terms of events and not in terms of chronological definition. This meant that if we asked when something would happen we might be shown a time of the year but never actually the year it would happen. We might be told an event will happen in the Spring...but of what year remained to be seen. Or we might be told the event will happen in July...but we would not know of what year. And even if we asked, "Will this event happen in 2006?", we discovered they ignored the timing element and simply answered "yes" to the event happening so the question answered was, "Will this event happen?".
Being able to discuss these discoveries with your buddy can make the journey much more enjoyable. There are so many lessons to be learned (and lessons generally mean hard work) that it is important to grab the good times when you can, laugh when you can, joke when you can, see the humour in life when you can, and take a break from the learning when you can. It is all the more enjoyable if you can do it with someone that understands the process and is willing to stand by you when the times get tough.
Your buddy can become a true and trusted friend that has understanding and knowledge that can make your life easier and happier.
