I have always felt I had a very close bond with my animal companions. About 1 month ago, one morning, to my horror, I found my beloved Lab, Fudgie, had passed away during the night. She and I had been together for 13 years. I live with my mother and she and I were devastated. This was an even worse blow because my father died 2 months ago. I became very depressed.
My mother found an ad in the paper for a free 4 year old Lab the very next day. I called the man late in the afternoon and he said he had gotten about 20 calls that day about the dog. I told him my story and for some reason he picked me. He loved this cute little dog very much but had to get rid of her because his wife was having a baby and they were moving. He even delivered the dog to me.
When he came to the door to my surprise, Paris, was almost an exact twin of my other dog. I did have to go through a little interview though. The dog and I got along immediately. She has all of her shots, is fixed, housebroken and is the perfect companion. I could not have asked for more.
My depression turned into perfect joy! We are inseparable and it looks like "someone, somewhere" was looking out for me in my heartbreak.
