Several years ago I ended an abusive relationship that I had stayed in for too long.
Shortly afterwards I went interstate to stay with a friend for a few days. I started to feel a hand in my back, but every time I turned around I could see no one. I felt the comforting touch on my back more and more often and could feel the pressure of each finger as well as the palm and heel of the hand. I could feel warmth coming into my back as well. Eventually I mentioned this to my girlfriend and we thought perhaps there was a friendly ghost in the house. I told her it was a really comforting touch and not at all unpleasant and I said I wasn't afraid if it was a ghost.
That night I woke up to see a girl kneeling on the floor by me with her hands on my bed. She wore a long white gown and had long dark hair and was my age - late 20s. I thought afterwards that she looked like an American Indian girl. She was beautiful. She had extremely long fingers. I thought it was my girlfriend at first but as I became more awake I realised that my friend has short blonde hair and this was not her. The girl said my name and began to speak and I was so shocked that I screamed.
The last thing of her that I saw was her rolling her eyes as if so say, "I can't believe you did that after saying you wouldn't be afraid to see me".
I have since realised that this was my first sighting of one of my spiritual guides and not a ghost. She was comforting me for breaking up with a man who was very damaging to me and trying to tell me my life would improve.
I have seen her since but she hasn't woke me up in quite the same way. Usually she floats around my bedroom occasionally at night.
Most of my guidance now comes through the feeling of being pushed towards or pulled away from a person or experience. And the occasional pat on the back.
