These are dreams I had that are with me 11 years after I fist dreamt it, and it never changes.
The first one- I was a rebellious teenager having problems with my mom, she is a single parent and was very strict with me. I began to loathe her.
I had a dream where I was in a beautiful green place with waterfalls (all my important dreams seem to be here)and my mom was standing on a stage. She was just standing there not saying anything and I got impatient. I was ready to walk up to the stage and take over (who knows what I was gonna do?!) when my maternal Great-Grandmother on my Grandpa's side grabbed my arm.
It was weird because I had never seen her before, (she passed away years before I was born) but I KNEW. She spoke to me in Hawaiian (I don't speak it, but could understand VERY well) she told me that it was not my turn. It was for my mother to do and I would know when it was my turn. She was SO MAD at me!
When I woke up I told my mother and she took me to see my grandparents. They asked me what she looked like, and brought out a picture of the woman in my dream. I told them she was kind of sassy and was very mad at me, and they laughed. They said, "yup, that was her!"
Another dream I had, about the same time as the first one- I was sitting on my great grandma's lap- My grandma's mom- (I remember seeing her as a little girl-3 times, so I knew her.) and there was a big lava rock wall in front of us. She held me and rocked me like a baby and I felt so loved, and she stroked my hair and sang a Hawaiian song I had never heard before.
I woke up feeling happy and told my mom. Just as she was going to call my grandma, the phone rang. It was my grandma. She cried, "I just had the nicest dream! My mother was singing to me, and I was in front of a beautiful lava rock wall."
We dreamt the same thing!
I decided maybe I wasn't being such a good girl, and began to straighten out. (I was never into drugs or alchohol- that wasn't the problem - I was a little promiscuous.) It took 2 years for me to REALLY realize this, but I finally did choose to make my life better, and I'm happy now!
These are so memorable to me, and I will always cherish them because I know they were visits from my loving family. I have since had dreams about my grandpa, and other Members of my family that are quite old- 3 and 4 times great!
I chose to tell you these stories because they happened around the same time I began to "hear" words - except they were in Hawaiian. I was scared for a while, but now, I am thankful that I have been given a gift like this! I know physical life ends, but we will always live on.
