About two years ago, my sister who then lived in Vancouver fell ill. I knew something was wrong with her way ahead of her.
I had a hard time sleeping all week; my sleep was fretful and I kept on getting these morbid dreams. The most vivid one came to me two days before my sister was admitted to the hospital. I had fallen into a light sleep, and all of a sudden I got this picture of a woman with brown hair in a coffin. I could not see the face clearly (I probably need my glasses to see even in my sleep!). Thinking at first something was wrong with my daughter, I went to check in her bedroom, she was alright.
Two days after I was talking to my grandmother on the phone (she is down in the U.S) and she said that while talking to my sister, she told her to go to the doctor because she didn't sound good. I then tried to contact my sister, but there was no answer. I then tried to find out if she was at any hospital. She was indeed in the hospital and had been taken ill from an unknown virus.
It took my sister three months to recover. I think what helped her was to know that whatever happened to her I would find a way to be there with her, in spirit if I couldn't be there in body.
