My Brother

Very shortly after he had died, I was having trouble coping with my grief. I think I found it harder because I was living in another city from my parents and felt isolated.

As I wallowed with the feeling that there was a black hole in my heart, I had the most amazing experience that made things a lot easier. While sleeping one night, my dream sped up and distorted as a kind of summary of what was going on in my social life at the time. After the summary was complete, suddenly the scene changed and I was in a wide open space filled with bright white and golden light and clouds. My brother was walking toward me with his arms spread out. His face was no longer distorted by the encephalitis that killed him and he was wearing a long white gown (all my guides wear these whenever they show themselves to me - it must be something to do with what I can understand). The light around him was a lot brighter and more golden than elsewhere and it was beautiful. I was actually terrified as I had never seen anything like this and screamed at him not to touch me. He just smiled and wrapped his arms around me and told me that he loved me.

The feeling that I experienced as he touched me was indescribable. I felt pure love and happiness but those words don't do it justice.

The feeling was more intense than the energy surges I have felt when I have had reiki or most of the energy surges that come during meditation.

I woke very suddenly from this with my heart pounding but I was able to start getting on with my life afterwards.

Happily for me it doesn't end there for as I went further into my studies over the next few years, I could feel my brother around me very keenly - especially around exam time when I was under the most stress.

Over the last couple of years I have felt him around me more and more and now he often sits on my bed at night and plays with my hair and sometimes he blows in my right ear.

He also lets me know he is around all the time by showing very specific things to a reader I speak with sometimes. For instance he showed the reader that I had dropped some firewood because of a spider surprising me and another time that I had lightened my hair colour. I also appreciated him hiding my cigarette lighter and numerous boxes of matches after I asked him to help me get the resolve to stop smoking. I got that message eventually. I wouldn't mind having the matches back for lighting candles though....

Hi,

Knowing that your brother would not live a long life is a very good example of how things are planned for us. You knew many years in advance that his life path was not going be a long one.

You must have been feeling a great deal of grief for him to come to you to help you resolve your feelings. What a beautiful experience!
